A small unit for Electrical Calibration, including DC Voltage, DC Current, and Resistance, was established in the Royal Scientific Society.

Accreditation by DKD German accreditation Service for the Electrical calibration Unit Activities complying with International standard ISO/IEC 17025, The lab. approved by JSMO to keep and maintain the national standard for electrical quantities.

A new division for calibration was established to cope with industrial demand. It included the Electrical Calibration unit, and a new unit for Physical Calibration.

The unit extended the scope of accreditation, and included AC Voltage and AC Current.

The unit acquired a wide range of highly accurate equipment through a Japanese grant to establish 14 specialized calibration laboratories in the field of Metrology, covering electrical, physical, and mechanical measurement.

RSS signed an agreement with JSMO, authorizing RSS to establish and manage JNMI to maintain and keep all national standards in one location.

JNMI managed to achieve accreditation from German Accreditation Body DKD, according to DIN EN ISO 17025:2005 for calibration in the fields: Mass, Weighing Instrument, Temperature, and Dimensional Quantities.

20 Accreditation bodies were converted from DKD to DAkkS accreditation body, at the end of 2011. JNMI converted its calibration certificate from DKD to DAkkS certificate.

JNMI extended the scope of accreditation to 2017 in the fields of Electrical measurements, pressure, temperature, mass and balance, and dimensional measurement from the German Accreditation Body DAkkS.

JNMI extended the scope of accreditation to include torque, low ohm from the German Accreditation Body DAkkS.

JNMI switched to international accreditation from ILAC.

JNMI extended the scope in the field of high voltage, high frequency, power factor, earth tester, insulation tester, oscilloscope, and IR thermometers from JAS national accreditation.

JNMI established a new field in calibration of Gas Detectors.

JNMI signed an agreement to establish a calibration lab for flow equipment in August 2021. We also extended our scope to include medical IR, Energy meters, and test benches.
