General Overview |
|
JNMI comprises 14 laboratory disseminated between primary and secondary
level. We are concerned in providing an adequate measuring and
calibration services via traceable calibrated references in both its
primary and secondary level to satisfy the national and regional needs,
thus our laboratory divisions can be summarized as follows: |

National Primary Laboratories , which comprise
national measurement standards that are considered the most accurate
measuring standards on the national level in the following fields:
-
Electrical measurement such as measurement of
voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, Inductance , frequency
and time.
-
Physical and mechanical measurement such as
Temperature , Humidity, Dimension, Pressure, Mass, and Force.
-
The secondary laboratories , which comprise a
less accurate measuring standards, providing calibration services in
the fields of the electrical, physical and mechanical measurement as
well as Power , flow, volume, speed, luminance, and biomedical
measurement equipment.

Accreditation Body DAkkS GERMANY. The Registration Number

DK15025-01 and Fully comply with the International Standard ISO/IEC
17025 for all issued calibration certificates , and is also ISO

The Fundamental Electrical Laboratory
,for calibration and measuring, consists the following:

National Primary laboratory for electrical measurement and
calibration , which has the following functions:
|

maintain and assure the traceability of the National
Measurement Standards of DC voltage, DC current, AC current, AC
voltage, resistance, capacitance, and inductance
-
calibration of a highly accurate and reliable
equipments related to these national units

conducts technical consultancy, training, and advice
in the electrical field

The
national reference standards for this National Primary Laboratory are: |
|
|
-
Four voltage cells that varies from 1.018 to 10.018,
and with an accuracy of 1ppm
-
Eleven calibration resistors that ranges from 1 ohm
to 19M ohm, and with an accuracy that varies from 1ppm to15ppm for
every 1 ohm resistance
-
Four calibration capacitors that ranges from 1pF to
10000pF with an accuracy of 0.0002 pF to 0.0016 mF
-
Six calibration inductance that ranges from 100uH to
10H and with an accuracy that varies from 0.12 μH to 0.027 H

, which function is to calibrate less accurate equipments using
reference standards.

reference frequency generator (cesium oscillator), and rubidium
oscillator, as will as GPS system that has an accuracy of 5x10-15 |

that can reach to 40ppm per centigrade
